Troubleshooting: Modules & Solvers

Missing Feature or Automation: Troubleshooting Modules and Solvers

As an administrator, you can find your Active and Inactive Solvers in the ''Solver Page''.

You find this by going to the Top Level menu option Management > Solvers

In the Solver Page you will be able to select by ''active'' and ''not activated'' and you will be presented with the relevant solvers.

If you have missing feature check the following

Permissions only apply when the solver is enabled, and if so check the following:

  • Do you have the correct permissions? (management > permissions > module)
    • Scenario 1: Solver ON + Permission OFF = Feature hidden
    • Scenario 2: Solver OFF + Permission ON = Feature unavailable
    • Scenario 3: Solver ON + Permission ON = Feature available

Possible Troubleshooting Outcomes:

If data is visible but feature is not working:
→ Solver may be disabled

If feature works for some users but not others:
→ Permissions may differ

If automation (emails, alerts) stopped:
→  Related solver may disabled

If page cannot be accessed via URL:
→ Solver is disabled (indicating backend restriction/gating)

Example 1 :

''Why is the calendar visible for some users but not others?''

This  may be caused by:

  1. Permissions differences between users

  2. Solver enabled but permission disabled for some users

    Rule:
Solver controls availability - First point of check
Permissions control visibility per user - second point of check

Example 2:

''Why are emails no longer being sent?''

  1. Ask - Are these emails controlled by specific solvers (e.g. Document Control)?

  2.  If yes, Check if the related solver is disabled

  3. Request Support team review your solver configuration.

Example 3:

''We still see data but can’t use the feature — what’s going on?''

This usually means:

  1. The solver is disabled

  2. Data is retained but functionality is stopped

    Explanation:
    When a solver is disabled:
    → Data remains visible
→ Features using that data are inactive

It always good to note that if you have checked all of the above in relation to a broken/missing feature or automation and have not found it related to the solver configuration - it may be unexpected behavior . In that scenario reach out to the Support Team.
