Smart Set Generator (Beta)
The Smart Set Generator converts unstructured documents into structured analysis sets for Quality Control. It uses AI to extract variables, detect field properties, and generate validated form structures. This feature streamlines form creation and reduces manual setup.
The tool analyzes uploaded files or text descriptions to identify QC variables and field configurations. It supports multiple document formats and produces standardized, ready-to-use forms for QC data collection.
In This Article:
Key Capabilities

- Selection lists: Creates dropdowns for categorical data.
- Validation: Ensures consistent data types and proper field handling.
- Multi-format input: Accepts text, tables, and image-based documents.
- Quality Control focus: Optimized for QC and lab form structures.
Please be aware of the supported file types: PDF, Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx, .xls, .xlsm) and Image files (PNG, JPG)
Using The Tool
The tool is presented as a Web Interface
- Enter your tenant name (your tenant name is the text before "alisqi.com" in your AlisQI URL)
- Provide your AlisQI authentication token
- Describe your form or upload a file – Provide a short text description to guide extraction, drag and drop your document or select it manually.
- (Optional) Add instructions – If starting from a file upload, define specific requirements, such as units or mandatory fields, in the Advanced Options section.
- Generate and review – The system processes the input, deploys the analysis set and stores it for review under "AI Generated Sets".
If you don't specify a title for your analysis set, the AI will generate one for you.
Rate limit specifically for the tool = 20 requests per minute.
Example 1 - Using an Image
A technician uploads a sketch of a handwritten inspection sheet:
The application extracts fields such as “Batch Number,” “pH,” and “Viscosity,” automatically converting them into digital form fields - adding the set to your Top Level Menu under Results:

The resulting analysis set is ready for data entry:

Example 2 - Using a Text Prompt
A Quality Manager enters a text prompt:
Create me a set with the following fields:
-
- Product (select)
- Weight (Kg, one decimal)
- Thickness (mm)
- Remarks
The application generates a structured form with appropriate data types (numeric, text, selection list), units and validation rules.
The administrator or manager can then adjust the form in-app if required.
